Three is nothing on their menu indicating "nut free / safe" and they have a very busy and compact kitchen so I doubt they could offer that assurance.
The worst restaurant I have been ever. The clerk mistook the bill and we told them to check our price again, but they ignored it. And then they said just pay and after we can check the receipt.
Quality of food is poor so is service. Dont waste ur $!
Not many choice, but ok
Low key atmosphere, love it
Looks can be deceiving. Great portions, quick service, nice range of menu items and inexpensive.
This has been my favourite restaurant for over a decade! Great food, friendly staff, quick service. A staple of Yellowknife dining. Try #75, charbroiled pork and spring roll vermicelli bowl. Classic.
Staff friendly food good. Very much a noodle house plain decor but functional. Finding Vietnamese food in Yellowknife was unexpected but a good find. Been there three times and am slowly eating my way through the menu.
The taste was even better than I expected, I’ve been to other vietnam restaurant in yn. One noodle soup is good thing that make my body warm enough with cilantro under unforgiving cold.
My boyfriend order sate beef pho and he said that it tasted ok. I ordered the Lemongrass pork, grilled shrimp, pork balls, and spring rolls. The foods in general are ok. But the service is bad. It's the first time in my life that ever felt scared of speaking up and asking for something. The waitress has a very serious, unfriendly face like she's mad and not wanting to serve. I'm definitely not coming back and the waitress does not deserve the tips from us.
Traditional Vietnamese beef needle in Yellowknife. Taste is good
Great food! Had the Combo Chow Mein with chicken and seafood. It was really good. I'll definitely go back soon!
Delicious pho, but nothing to special.
Awesome. Great food, quick service.
Noodles taste good. They got Japanese, Chinese and English menu which is good. I ordered rare beef noodle soup and I like it.
The broth is surprisingly flavourful. The speed of which the food comes out is crazy fast. This does indeed feel like a typical Vietnamese pho house, and i mean that as a big complement.
This is a hidden Gem. Highly recommmend. Don't be fooled by its appearence.
Always good food, fast and friendly service.
If I was to describe this place as below average Vietnamese food I would be giving it a compliment. Food is tasteless, Service is poor at best, Price is high for what you are getting. I cannot understand how this place has good reviews... Maybe people need to eat more decent Vietnamese food. And if you are thinking "oh you just had a bad experience" I have tried this place 6 times over the last 2 years and it has been the same experience every single time. I guess they are consistent.
Love this place! Great food. Wish there was one near where I live.
Ok Vietnamese restaurant. Only issue is that Vietnamese food depends a lot on fresh herbs and vegetables which is lacking this far north. Other ingredients were pretty legit. Service is fine. Price is in line with others of in the area.
I found it quite average and pricey. The place does not look great and the food is just... some food.
Excellent food and service!
This restaurant is lovely! The folks who run the place (it seems like a family affair) were very friendly and welcoming. It was busy with both eat in and take out customers but they still served is quickly. I found the prices extremely reasonable, especially considering the location. My vermicelli noodles dish was very yummy even without any of the extra sauce options they have available at the tables. The wonton appetizers were very vice - crispy without being oily and generously stuffed. I tried a bit of my companion's pho as well and it was very tasty, the veggies were a lovely texture. The decoration has a fun personal feel, someone's personal collection. That kind of classic immigrant family restaurant vibe. It's a lovely addition to the multicultural Yellowknife community.
Usually when my mom (who has celiac's disease) goes out to eat. It's really difficult to find places to eat out. The food was delicious and we will be back! The staff was great; good service and helpful. The food was fresh and yummy. Gluten free options! Just ask and they help you and make suggestions.
We wanted a quick, light and filling dinner late in the evening and that's exactly what we got. The food and restaurant is unpretentious and gives you exactly what you'd expect - big bowls of well cooked noodles, meat and veggies. Is it the best Vietnamese food you'll ever eat? No. But it's tasty, filling and we reasonably priced. We'll be back.
Be careful! They added the service fee automatic without notified. Which means you gonna pay for 2 times of the tips if you didn't notice that. BTW, the food is not worth the price.
We ordered seafood and beef stir fried noodles and beef noodle soup here, the food quality and taste were merely acceptable considering the restaurant is located in such a small touristy city. What made us really upset was that the older waitress was extremely rude to us (bad attitude, no patience and zero service during the entire meal). When paying, no detailed breakdown of the bill was given and 10% service fee was forcefully charged. We would not recommend this place as the first choice of food in Yellowknife.
All the food that we ordered tonight was freshly prepared. The service was pretty good.
Good variety in the menu and quick service. Portion sizes are small considering the prices.
I'd rate 3 or 4 for pho I haven't tried anything else on the menu. Service was good in need of a Reno either than that's its great. I wish the pho came with basil and chilli oil to heat it up a bit. Either than that pho is traditional green onion white onion noodle beef yellow onion cilantro and of course the Broth.
The place reeked of mildew or some kind of wet carpet upon entry. My friend and I walked in nonetheless hoping the smell would subside past the foyer. It did not. My friend, who is Caucasian, got an English menu but I was for some reason separately handed a Chinese menu even though I made no indication that I know/speak Chinese (we greeted the waitress in English). Racist people, filthy place. We left before ordering.
Finding pho in YK is certainly novel. The portions were reasonable, despite being a bit overpriced IMHO. The one thing that bothered me was how they charged $2 per person for tea... that was an obvious money grab. Flavour-wise, the meat is decent, but the MSG is obvious in the soup and the stock is on the thin side. But it does come out piping hot and is very welcome when it is -30C outside!Pluses: they open on Sundays unlike many YK establishments.
Try the number 59 my favourite seafood soup really good good service
Taste is good. Vietnanes drop coffee is recommended
Super disappointed in the food. The service was terrible.Rude server, found hair in our order, and was ignored by the server multiple times.
Food was okay but waitress was rude and charges you extra for service fee for absolutely no reason. Never coming back.
The novelty of Vietnamese food in Yellowknife is most interesting, but the food was pretty much what you'd get in Winnipeg. It was hot, plentiful and for the location well priced. Also a bit of a family spot. The eating area reminded me of a national park picnic area, and several families showed up and chatted and visited with other each other
Decent one, Lemon grass pork chop rice.
Number 77 awesome so delish
Good food, good service
Every time I visit Yellowknife (for work), VNH is one the 3-places (BB & WY are the others) I can not wait to eat at! My favourite is #58 (Beef Sate combo soup), and each time it is just as tasty as the last bowl I enjoyed a year or so ago. Cheap, filling and packed full of flavour ... like YUM. I didn't realize there's such a thing as comfort food from a place your visiting ... other than your MA's kitchen.
Not fancy decor but the food is very good and is served without much of a wait.
Food is just ok. No fresh chilly, beef pho served with no lemon slice and just a little bit bean sprouts in the soup . Fresh spring roll is acceptable, 2.75 CAD for 1 roll though. Maybe other dishes is better? Personally will try somewhere else next time.
Good food, great service, great price.
Could have given 4 star, food is good but maintain distance with the grumpy owner.
Great Tasting broth and very filling this is the #55
Very good and unexpected.
good food but service is so so...
Awesome food. friendly staff. great service
It is really luckly to entre this restaurant because of the delicious food. And the price is resonable. I will always choose here during the 3 days trip in yellowknife!
